This picturesque medieval village nestling in the Gijou valley boasts a castle that once belonged to the powerful Bourbons-Malauze family. Lacaze is also very popular with nature lovers and fishing enthusiasts.
Description
This magnificent little medieval village, listed as a « Petite cité de caractère », nestles in the Gijou valley in the Monts de Lacaune. Don’t miss out on a guided tour of the castle in summer, or a group visit all year round by prior arrangement.
On the way to Lacaze, we also recommend a short diversions to the « forgotten » hamlet of Camalière and the fortified chapel of St Jean del Frech.
