Roquecourbe
A mystical place with many stories that was in turn a sanctuary and a place of the dead.
Description
From the Celtic period to the 14th century, you will find here many traces of the past and history of Roquecourbe. Also enjoy a beautiful view over Castres plains.
2km from the village on a hill, this moving and mystical site presents the traces of steps, vats, a forge, recalling the life of the Celts in this place as well as Cathar sarcophagi like that of Beatrice of Béziers, and the remains of a church used alternately by Catholics and Protestants.
Also you can leave a trace of your passage thanks to the visitor’s booklet, if you find its hiding place…
