La Grangette de la Ginestière

At the edge of the Sidobre and the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, La Ginestière reveals itself at the end of a winding road through forests, streams and small secluded hamlets. The feeling of reaching the end of the world quickly gives way to a deep sense of tranquility: the gentle sound of the stream below, the wooded slopes surrounding the hamlet and, if you’re lucky, deer venturing into the nearby meadow. At an altitude of 850 metres, this micro-region is also renowned for its porcini mushrooms in autumn, the remarkable granite rocks of the Sidobre and its many hiking trails.

The surrounding area invites you to truly unwind: walks in the forest, swimming in Lake Raviège, evenings by the fire, roasting chestnuts or fishing for wild trout in nearby streams.

The two character cottages on the estate, awarded the Panda and “Art de Vivre” labels within our “Demeures de Pays”, are set in buildings over two centuries old, carefully restored by Cécile and Olivier using local stone and wood. La Grangette (1804), designed for two guests, offers a warm and authentic setting.

On the ground floor, the vaulted living space brings together the day area with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen including an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. A filter coffee maker and a Senseo machine complete the equipment. The dining area and lounge share this welcoming space, enhanced by a wood-burning stove.

Extending from the living area, the bedroom features an en-suite shower room and direct access to a terrace.

Outside, you can enjoy a private garden as well as a second covered terrace, ideal for outdoor dining. The estate also offers private parking and several leisure facilities: table tennis, table football, pétanque court, swing set…
