Le gîte du Four is located in the Sidobre Vals et Plateaux area, a region appreciated for its remarkable granite landscapes, secluded hamlets and diverse network of trails. From La Ginestière, you can easily access the forests of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, the streams flowing down into the valley and the lakes ideal for summer swimming, including Lake Raviège. At an altitude of 850 metres, the environment offers a pleasant climate, unspoilt nature and opportunities to observe discreet wildlife such as deer. Walking enthusiasts, mushroom pickers and fishing lovers will find this an ideal playground.

The estate comprises two independent character cottages, awarded the Panda and “Art de Vivre” labels, set in historic buildings restored by the owners using local stone and wood. Le gîte du Four occupies a house dating back to 1766, where heritage features — bread oven, stone sink, traditional cooker — blend with a contemporary extension offering generous volumes and a bright atmosphere.

The ground floor is organised around a large open living space with a lounge and a fully equipped modern kitchen (filter coffee maker and Senseo machine). This convivial and functional area opens directly onto a wooden terrace and a private garden, perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing moments.

Upstairs, the sleeping area includes:
– One bedroom with a 140×190 cm bed
– One bedroom with three 90×190 cm beds that can be arranged as a double if needed
The upper floor also features a shower room, a separate toilet and a suspended terrace with lovely views over the surrounding nature.

Outside, the garden allows you to fully enjoy the peaceful setting. A pétanque court, swing and children’s play area complete the facilities. Whether you enjoy hiking, swimming in the lake, evenings by the fire or simply slowing down, Le gîte du Four offers a comfortable and authentic setting for a family holiday.
