Lasfaillades: wood, earth and water
Bordering the Anglès plateau, from its 760 meters of altitude, Lasfaillades guards the forest and lives at the edge of wild water.
Several streams cross the village and the beautiful lake of St Peyres nearby is a haven of peace and preserved nature.
Lasfaillades is also a place of memory of many feats of arms of the resistance fighters of the last war. Wood is today the main resource of the commune.
Here you are at the edge of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park, and for lovers of green tourism and outdoor leisure activities, it is a treat: hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing … You will be spoiled for choice.
From the village do not miss the path of memories.
The village can also be a point of passage if you take GR 653 towards Saint-Jacques de Compostelle which passes nearby.
