Lasfaillades: wood, earth and water

Bordering the Anglès plateau, from its 760 meters of altitude, Lasfaillades guards the forest and lives at the edge of wild water.
Several streams cross the village and the beautiful lake of St Peyres nearby is a haven of peace and preserved nature.
Lasfaillades is also a place of memory of many feats of arms of the resistance fighters of the last war. Wood is today the main resource of the commune.
Here you are at the edge of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park, and for lovers of green tourism and outdoor leisure activities, it is a treat: hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing … You will be spoiled for choice.

The village can also be a point of passage if you take GR 653 towards Saint-Jacques de Compostelle which passes nearby.

The commune of Le Bez has developed its economy around the granite and wood industry. The commune stretches from the Agoût valley, the heights of Brassac and towards the heart of Sidobre. Don’t miss the typical hamlets of Sécun-Haut and La Cugnassarié, the villages of Bez and Guyor and the Vialavert site which houses the Maison du Sidobre and the Sentier des Immortels.

The commune of Cambounès, wooded with several different species, offers panoramas that change with the seasons. Many ferruginous and pure springs are at the origin of waterfalls and several caves on the territory. The logging and the exploitation of a limestone quarry contribute to the economic dynamism.

The village can also be a point of passage if you take GR 36 or GR 653 which pass nearby.
